As the main goal of this project was to create a video using both real life recording and computer generated elements, I decided to focus in one of my passions: Dance. Attached to this is my interest on the video game indutry, so I decided to simulate one of my favorite coreographies as if it was in the Just Dance Game (Image 2). I chose a song called I got a boy by Girl's Generation, so I tried to go with the aesthetics used in the Music Video (Image 1). Both sources justify the collorfull visuals of the video.
Como o objetivo Principal deste projeto era criar um video utilizando gravações reais e elementos gerados por computador, eu decidi focar em uma das minhas paixões: A dança. Aliado a isso está o meu interesse na indústria de Video Games, então decidi simular uma das minhas coreografias favoritas como se estivesse no jogo "Just Dance" (Imagem 2). Escolhi I got a boy do grupo Girl's Generation, portanto tentei seguir a mesma estética usada no Video Clipe. (Imagem 1). Ambas as referências justificam o visual colorido do vídeo.
Due the thight deadline I had for this project, first, I edited the song using Adobe Premiere then I moved to the shooting itself.The dancer in the video is myself at the Chroma Key Studio, at SCAD's Hamilton Hall (Image 3). It was recorded by Mario Gonçalves Neto.
The elements in the background were all made by me too, using Photoshop, Illustrator and Maya. My major concern about them was that they should have motion, so they would follow the rythm of the song. The video editing was made using After Effects.
The result is the video below.
Devido ao curto prazo que tive para este projeto, primeiro editei a musica usando o Adobe Premiere, então parti para a etapa de gravação. O bailarino no vídeo sou eu mesmo, no estúdio de Chroma Key do Hamilton Hall da SCAD (Imagem 3). As sequências foram gravadas por Mario Gonçalves Neto.
Os elementos ao fundo também foram feitos por mim, usando o Photoshop, Illustrator e Maya. Minha maior preocupação quanto a eles foi lhes atribuir movimento, para que pudessem seguir o rítmo da música. A edição foi feita usando o After Effects.
O resultado é o vídeo abaixo.
